It’s the first Tuesday Brew Day of February and we’ve prepared a fresh batch of coffee from Lonely Monk Coffees from Central PA on our Stone Grey KBGV Select. This traditional Sumatra blasts out deep, earthy intensity with gentle hints of cedar, dark chocolate and cherry in the finish. If you love the boldness of a Sumatra, you’ll love this one as much as we do!

Lonely Monk Coffees Roastmaster Leon Miller uses a unique method of roasting their coffee called hot fluid bed roasting, invented by chemical engineer Michael Sivetz in the 70s. It was his belief that with traditional drum roasting, the chaff that comes off the beans chars as it continues to tumble with the beans, leading to a smokier taste. The hot fluid bed roasting method uses hot air to heat the beans while removing the chaff as it sheds from the beans.
Lonely Monk Coffees also believe in charitable causes and a percentage of all profits are donated to fight human trafficking. You can purchase coffee, subscriptions, wholesale and merch on their website.
