Welcome to the Inaugural Tuesday Brew Day Blog Post! Every week, the Moccamaster USA team gathers around one of our Moccamaster brewers to try out a new coffee roaster. Until now, we’ve been sharing our journey on social media, but thanks to the popularity of these social media posts over the last year, we’ve decided to expand Tuesday Brew Day to our blog.

We’re kicking things off with a fresh pot of Ethiopia Kaffa from Fundamental Coffee Co. We brewed it on our new Matte White Moccamaster KBGV Select.
A dark-roasted single origin coffee, Ethiopia Kaffa is a robust, yet smooth sipping roast, that harkens back to a more traditional tasting coffee. Fundamental Coffee Co. prides itself on roasting coffee darker than what many consider the norm among the “Third Wave” movement.
Fundamental Coffee’s focus on dark roasted beans is proudly intentional with the belief that light roast coffee “isn’t developed enough to offset the coffee’s native acidity”, according to Scott McMartin, Founder of Fundamental Coffee Co.
