Your KM5 Burr Grinder will arrive in an eco-friendly brown kraft box. Both the box and interior cardboard shell are fully recyclable and compostable so that you can dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly way.
Upon opening the box, you'll find the instruction manual on top. It's important to read through the manual before using your grinder to ensure you fully understand how to operate and maintain it. While the setup and operation of the KM5 are straightforward, the manual provides essential details that will help you get the most out of your new grinder.
Underneath the manual, you'll see the top of the cardboard shell that protects your grinder during shipping. Once you remove and unfold this shell, you'll find the grinder itself, as well as a small cardboard box.
Inside the small box, you'll discover your glass grounds container, two container lids, and a brown Moccamaster coffee scoop. The glass container catches your freshly ground coffee, and the two lids serve different purposes - one for grinding and the other for storing unused grounds.
Lastly, check to ensure your grinder is sitting flat on your counter. During shipping, the feet can become detached and fall off. If this occurs, they can be easily pushed back into the holders.
